QRS is bringing a three-part cardiac learning experience to nursing and health students in collaboration with the StFX CNSA Chapter across Nova Scotia, designed to strengthen cardiac knowledge, clinical confidence and readiness for practice.
Each part builds on the last, progressing from rhythm interpretation to ECG assessment and hands-on clinical readiness.
Build a systematic approach to recognizing normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms and understanding how to respond.
Build on your rhythm foundation through ECG assessment, case-based scenarios and clinical decision-making.
Bring learning into practice through hands-on CPR, airway management, mock-code scenarios and clinical skills.
Build confidence in rhythm interpretation through guided learning, case studies and practical application. This course is designed for health students who are new to cardiac monitoring.
A practical, systematic approach reinforced through examples, case studies and guided practice.
Learn a repeatable step-by-step method for interpreting cardiac rhythms.
Review cardiac conduction and understand the key measurements used in monitoring.
Recognize normal rhythms, bradycardias, tachycardias, AV blocks and life-threatening rhythms.
Connect rhythm recognition with pacing, cardioversion, defibrillation and appropriate clinical response.
Attend live for the interactive experience or complete the course asynchronously at your own pace.
Participate in a live virtual learning environment where you can work through concepts, examples and case studies in real time.
Complete the asynchronous version of the Rhythm Interpretation course independently through QRS Educational Services.
