TRAUMA Courses
TRAUMA COURSES: Welcome to our Trauma registration page where we have combined access to all our Trauma courses in one spot. We offer two trauma courses and a description of each is provided below: 1-Day Assessment and Management of the Adult and Paediatric Trauma Patient, and the ENA certification Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
1-Day Assessment and Management of the Adult and Paediatric Trauma Patient: This one-day, non-stressful trauma course has been designed by QRS Educational Services for all front-line health care professionals who are working in remote rural, non-urban and non-trauma emergency departments with patients who present with trauma. This course has been developed after receiving numerous requests from staff in a wide-variety of emergency settings who wanted to be more confident in managing the trauma patient. The focus of this course will be on establishing a systematic and rapid assessment, recognizing stable vs. unstable trauma, and stabilizing of the patient presenting with airway and respiratory compromise, shock, and neurological trauma. Class size is restricted to allow opportunities for mock scenarios and demonstration on some of the emergency procedures done for patient stabilization.
Please contact us if you would like to schedule this one-day Adult and Paediatric Trauma course at your location.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): The first few minutes of trauma care are critical to achieving better patient outcomes. The Emergency Nurses Association's (ENA) TNCC is widely recognized as the premier course for hospitals and trauma centers worldwide, empowering nurses with the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and hands-on training to provide expert care for trauma patients. In this course you will learn about rapid identification of life-threatening injuries, comprehensive patient assessment and enhanced intervention for better patient outcomes. A variety of learning methodologies are incorporated in TNCC, including online, a textbook, interactive lecture, hands-on practice and case-based learning. Recertification is required every 4 years.
